Tucker Wetmore is an American country singer and songwriter from Kalama, Washington, who has quickly emerged as one of country music’s most dynamic new stars. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Wetmore grew up surrounded by a wide range of musical influences, including country, rock, reggae and gospel.
He began learning piano at age 11 and later played college football. After a football injury changed his plans, Wetmore returned home and began seriously pursuing songwriting. He moved to Nashville in 2020 to develop his craft and launch his music career.
Wetmore broke through with the songs “Wine Into Whiskey” and “Wind Up Missin’ You,” the latter becoming a major country-radio No. 1 and earning multi-Platinum certification. His music has also appeared on the Twisters soundtrack, and he has performed at the Grand Ole Opry.
His debut album, What Not To, released in 2025 and became the biggest country album debut by a new artist that year. The album draws on his experiences and observations about life, relationships, mistakes and personal growth.
With his modern country sound, distinctive vocals and influences extending beyond traditional country, Wetmore has established himself as a major rising force in contemporary country music.
